Tourism Trend in 2025 –Beyond


The Global Tourism Forecasts to the Year 2025 and beyond set of reports. Many people contributed to the preparation of Global Trends 2025, but no one contributed more than did Mathew Burrows. His intellectual gifts and managerial abilities were critical to the production of this report and everyone involved owes him a huge debt of gratitude. Mat’s own note of appreciation on the following page lists others who made especially noteworthy contributions. Many others also made important contributions. We could not have produced this edition of Global Trends without the support of everyone who participated and we are deeply grateful for the partnerships and the friendships that facilitated and resulted from this collaborative effort.

Although , It have 8 Trends that will shape tourism  in the mid-term  such as Increased concern for safety and security ,More mature and experienced travelers , Increasing competition , Stress on value for money , Aging population ,Shift from service to experience , Incorporation of new technologies ,and Importance of sustainable development. Depend on an Established markets have Still far from saturated, however growth potential is comparatively moderate , Growth both from: increase of participation, but tourism is already available for broad part of society , Increased frequency: more frequent but shorter stays ,Changes in consumer profile and behavior , (more) mature and experienced, well-traveled and better educated consumers that know what they want and what they can get ,  search for value for money ,more fickle and less loyal ,shift in power from producers to consumers (from a sellers to a buyers’ market).



In addition to increasing still more the participation of non-USG experts  from the United States and abroad to develop the framework for the current study, we  shared several drafts with participants via the Internet and a series of discussion sessions across the US and in several other countries. This iteration of Global Trends is the most collaborative yet produced; that collaboration has made it a better product and we are extremely grateful for the time and intellectual energy that literally hundreds of people have devoted to this effort.


 Many people contributed to the preparation of Global Trends 2025, could not have produced this edition of Global Trends without the support of everyone who participated and we are deeply grateful for the partnerships and the friendships that facilitated and resulted from this collaborative effort.
